As Chief of Project Execution, Phillip Westerby leads the transition of Swift Current Energy’s late-stage development projects through pre-construction, procurement, construction and handover to asset management. Phillip is an accomplished executive with more than 25 years of experience in energy and project management and execution.
Phillip grew his career at EDPR NA, LLC, where he rose to become Executive Vice President of Technical. At EDP, Phillip oversaw the successful execution of 10 GW of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the United States, Mexico and Canada. Throughout his 13 years at EDPR, Phillip was involved in all aspects of development, engineering, technology due diligence, financing, procurement, and construction.
Phillip holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA with a focus on Global Energy Management from the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business. In addition, Phillip has completed executive and strategic management certifications at Rice University and ESADE University in Madrid, Spain.
