William Kelsey is Co-Founder, Partner and Chief Development Officer at Swift Current Energy. William is responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s wind and solar development and construction activities in North America. In this capacity, he oversees projects from acquisition through to commercial operation. William has over 25 years of experience in the power development business and has developed successful power projects both domestically and abroad using renewable and traditional power generation technologies. William led the development of Swift Current Energy’s 500 MW High Lonesome project in Upton & Crockett Counties in Texas.
Prior to co-founding Swift Current Energy, William managed the development and construction of more than 2,490 MW of utility-scale wind projects at Zilkha Renewable Energy, supporting the company’s growth from family ownership through acquisition by Goldman Sachs and ultimately ownership by EDP. Previously, William held key positions at InterGen North America, Hart Energy International and Coastal Power Company. William holds a B.S. from Texas A&M University in Construction Science.
