Roman Khalil is Executive Vice President of Solar Engineering & Performance Analytics at Swift Current Energy. Roman has over 12 years of deep experience in engineering, technology selection, construction, procurement, operations and asset management. Having worked on more than 2 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy projects globally, Roman is a seasoned professional in solar power and energy storage. Throughout his career he has been responsible for key engineering and technology decisions and served as an integral part of a multimillion dollar acquisition of solar assets.
Prior to joining Swift Current Energy, Roman was the Vice President of Solar Operations & Asset Management at Brookfield Renewable where he led operations of more 1.5GW of solar assets both commercially and technically. Roman has also worked in similar roles at 8minutenergy, First Solar, SMA, and Sungrow.
Roman is a graduate of Electrical Engineering, with focus on Power Generation, and studied Contract Law at Harvard Business School.
