Matthew Ptak serves as Executive Vice President of Finance & Capital Markets at Swift Current Energy. He leads finance and capital markets activities and is responsible for raising capital for Swift Current’s wind, solar and storage projects, as well as establishing and maintaining investor and lender relationships.
Matthew has over 18 years of experience in infrastructure financing and investment, primarily in the renewable power sector. He has been responsible for the execution of more than $4 billion in equity investments, project acquisitions, platform and project debt, and tax equity investments, in addition to overseeing fundraising activities supporting $3 billion of infrastructure funds and accounts. Matthew has been involved in the capitalization of more than 100 utility-scale energy projects.
Prior to joining Swift Current Energy, Matthew was a Managing Principal at Manifold Capital, Director at BlackRock, and First Vice President at BayernLB. While at BlackRock, he chaired the Portfolio, Pricing and Risk Committee and served on the Management and Operating Committees for the Renewable Power Group, as well as acted in various officer/board roles for portfolio companies.
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University and is a CFA charterholder.
