As Senior Director of Project Management, Matthew Jones leads Swift Current Energy’s projects through the construction & planning phases of the project lifecycle to prepare for asset turnover and operation.
Matthew brings to his role more than 15 years of energy industry experience. Most recently, Matthew served as a Construction Director at EDP Renewables where he oversaw the execution phase of utility-scale wind, solar and battery storage projects across the United States. Previously, Matthew held a variety of project and operational management positions at offshore drilling service company Valaris and global infrastructure consulting firm AECOM. Matthew’s total project experience prior to joining Swift Current exceeds 3 GW and $6B of Capex investment.
Matthew holds a BA in Business Management Administration Cum Laude from The University of Houston. He is also a licensed electrician and a NABCEP certified solar design and installation professional.
