As Vice President of Energy Storage & Technology, Marwan leads the growth strategy for Swift Current Energy’s pipeline of energy storage projects.
Prior to joining Swift Current Energy, Marwan served as Global Head of Energy Storage at EDP Renewables, where he advanced over 1 GWh of storage projects from development phase through to execution. While at EDPR, Marwan also led the procurement of over 3 GWh of lithium-ion battery storage systems to support the company’s growing storage pipeline. Previously, Marwan held leadership positions at Peak Power, an energy storage software company, and RES Group, an EPC and System Integrator.
Marwan holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MS in Energy Policy from McMaster University, where he was awarded the W Booth Leadership Excellence Award. He is a licensed professional engineer and a certified Project Management Professional.
