Industry veteran Rick Knauth will grow Swift Current asset management capabilities
BOSTON and HOUSTON, February 28, 2022 – Swift Current Energy (Swift Current), a leading North American clean energy platform, is pleased to announce today that Rick Knauth has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Asset Management. In this newly created role, Rick will grow Swift Current’s Asset Management capabilities as the company continues to establish itself as a leading renewable energy independent power producer. He will be based at the company’s Houston office.
Rick brings to Swift Current more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy and electric power sectors. He has held leadership roles at Vestas, Northern Star Generation Services and El Paso Merchant Energy. Most recently, Rick was Co-President of Renewable Services at Consolidated Asset Management Services, an asset management services company focused on providing superior operational performance, tactical commercial optimization and strict financial controls.

In 2021, Buckeye Partners, L.P. and Nala Renewables became majority owners of Swift Current, providing capital for the company to accelerate its growth plans, including in asset ownership and management. The Swift Current Management Team maintains a minority ownership in the company through its holding company, Lookout Ridge Energy Partners. Swift Current is bringing Rick on now to make the additional hires and establish the necessary processes and procedures to effectively plan for asset management of the company’s more than 2 GW pipeline of projects in late-stage development.
